Are you sick to death of hearing about the next fad in marketing? If you’re anything like me, you just want something that works. We all look to the fastest fix in business and when someone sells a “10x your sales in 10 minutes” e-book, we jump right on it. But marketing is more than that. It’s an ongoing journey. And these 15x simple techniques will help you to boost your sales on your website and funnel.
the 15 tips...
1: Use “YOU”
In your content, if you use the word “you” in your writing, instead of words like “we”. This way of writing means your reader will more likely feel like you’re talking to them on a personal level. It makes them feel as though you’re talking directly to them and more welcomed in to your world.
2: Avoid jargon
Lots of complicated words and jargon just make your readers switch off. We’re all in such a rush today, it’s important to keep your reader engaged in the topic and at the same time GETTING TO THE POINT. Which means that your reader is more likely to take the action you want them to take on your website, whether thats booking a call or booking into your calendar.
3: Use CTA’s (calls to action)
Calling people to take an action is one of the most important areas of your website to get right.
This is because if there’s no CTA (call to action) people don’t know what to do or how to.
Basically ASK FOR THE SALE!
4: Do your research
Find out what words people use to search for your product or service. People use different phrases, and they’re usually not the ones you think they’re using! As a professional in your field, you might use different, more techy language than the average person looking for
5: Uniform your pages
Use your brand to keep visual synchronicity within your sales pages. This builds trust for page visitors as we’re creatures built to trust patterns and familiarity. Basically, consistency builds trust, and makes for a better experience for your web user. I don’t know why, but familiarity just reassures our human/monkey brain.
6: Use short paragraphs and sentences
Using short, concise sentences and paragraphs make it easier for your reader to consume your information.
7: Ensure that you consider your user
Websites that are easy to use convert way more. Make sure that your your page is clear and simple, with easy to use navigation.
8: showcase your work
Customers appreciate seeing the work you’ve done for other happy customers. It can give them the confidence to buy from you, just seeing what you can do
9: Reviews
Have happy customers? Great! Make sure you show your new customers and web visitors what other people are saying about you. It can increase conversions by around 80%!
Tip: More Google reviews also means that more people will find you in local searches. You have more bragging rights too!
Bonus points for a video testimonial!

10: make sure your website isn’t slow
Is there anything worse than waiting? Actually, I think there is, I hate repeating myself, but that is another topic for another day… Waiting for anything today (especially online) is a big no-no. In today’s instant gratification world, if your page takes longer than around 3 seconds to load, there’s a good chance your potential sale has BOUNCED.
11: Good design sells
There’s no doubt about it. If you line two brands up side by side. One has a great identity, is clean and fresh. Consistent in their feel and language, they will sell more than the DIY every time. Because people trust beauty, and good design. We cant help it! It’s in our DNA, back from the cave man era when procreation was all about the best specimen. (Ha!)
Plus there’s lots of other factors as well as the beauty side. Good design means a good experience had by the person using the site, being the main one.
12: Use AI Chat bots
You can’t be available all day, every day. Using an AI chatbot will help keep enquiries flowing and helps to reduce people going to the next website down in Google when they can’t get the answer they want NOW. Statistics show that the sooner you can respond to a caller/message, the hougher the likelyhood of closing the sale. So if you can get a chatbot to answer questions and book people in to your diary, then you’re closer to the close and you didnt lift a finger!
13: Mobile device friendly
Might seem like a stupid thing to say these days, but you’d be surprised how many websites I come across that are not mobile friendly. And I always say, being mobile friendly and visible, is like being in your customers pocket. You’re there when they need you.
14: Send people back to your website from socials
Don’t tell LinkedIn I said this one, but if you’re active on social platforms, sending people back to your website and trying to capture their details is a great way to future proof your business and keep people loyal. You never know if LI will decide to shut your page down, or close your account. If you have customers on your mailing list and platforms, you don’t need to worry about that so much.
15: Finally – give people free stuff!
It’s the fastest way to gain trust online. It doesn’t need to be anything amazing like a full course (I have seen this) most people just want a little taster of your services. An FAQ or a free video is absolutely fine. It also gives you the opportuniy to remarket to them and keep in touch, to sell down the line.
