Might sound a little crazy, saying that I can show you how to make more time in your day. Time is linear, it will pass regardless. And there is only so much of it in one day.
BUT, I’m a firm believer in the fact that it isnt how much time you have, but how you use it.
And no matter what you feel about this fact, know this, as a business owner, your most valuable asset is your time. Especially when it comes to growing your business.
Yet I find time and time again, people prioritising £££ over time. Spending the least amount possible to grow their business, instead of spending as little time as possible.
I see business owners spending MONTHS on their website.
I know many busy fools, and no one wants to be that person. But priority in business, is your time, and what you do to spend that time.
1 – use that time to get more customers
2 – use that time to increase revenue and partnerships
So here are my tips on growing your business by expanding what you can achieve in a day.
automate
You know this one is my favourite. And if you want to know one of the bestest (yes that is a a word – ask my 6 year old!) ways to create more time in your day is to AUTOMATE.
Think about it, with automation, you can send 500 emails in the time you can manually send one. You can even create auto responders, which means that you can be working and not waiting for the phone to ring – knowing you wont miss any calls!
You can automate a number of tasks these days, which means that your minutes can be all the more productive and you can get much (much) more done in a day than you could only 10 years ago. Technology has transformed business and made software affordable for everyone.
If you’re not sure what you can automate, there are plenty of articles on Google. I offer a million and one automation tools.
Look at your list of things that you need to do in your business, what in that list could technology help you with?
delegate
Is there something that you can outsource in your business?
Something that is affordable, that you can source out minimally if you’re not in a position to invest a lot. Or if you are, what the hell are you doing??? Part of being an entrepreneur is delegation. It’s an important part of owning business. Not doing everything yourself. Otherwise, you’ve just created a lower paying job, where you work more hours!!!
What could you outsource affordably in your business? Think about the jobs you HATE to do, they’re the ones you should outsource.
eliminate
This one is fun.
I know many business owners that spend a lot of time doing nothing. Don’t get me wrong – they’re very busy. But they’re not really increasing business.
There are not many things we should be doing as business owners, but sadly the internet has waaaaaay over complicated that. With all the information out there freely available, most business owners spend a lot of time bouncing from one magic bullet to the next. Hoping to grow their business over night.
Which is a rarity.
So what can you eliminate from your to do list today to free up time and make you more productive?
